Fredrik ”Apollo” Asplund invites us to a performative reading of his book in Swedish ”Fröding never danced at a gay club in Damascus”. A journey from a forest in Varmland in the late 70s, mid landing in an elite school in Stockholm in the 80s, and then going to the club life of New York in the early 90s, ending in Damascus 2009, one year before the war. A queer history about trying to be yourself, looking for your family, and the big longing for the big exiting life that you know is “out there” somewhere. – Performed in Swedish.
