In PLAYGROUND, the dynamics of the group and the role of the individual in the meeting with others are explored. What happens when the roles change and when does the play become serious? PLAYGROUND alludes to the important importance of play in all aspects of life. In harmony with captivating moments, the joy of movement and changing everyday objects, we break fixed patterns and invite new meetings and new opportunities.
In collaboration with the Cuban dance company Danza Teatro Retazos we deepen the themes of the production in Sweden and Cuba with very different starting points but with the immense power of imagination as a common platform. With simple objects, close encounters, feelings, rhythms and environments in a suggestive dance performance in the style of Memory Wax.
