This body will be there forever. Not this one. But another. But the same. But different. Not at all. An arm. A hand. A leg. Skin defining the borders. Separating inside from outside. It is only material. I want it to look different. The form. This way. And not another. They are only parts.
Tools. To move.
Fingers, nails, veins, bones, teeth, saliva, pelvis, genitals. Only parts. Tools. To breathe. They could be free. And I did not want to be this. And I did not want to be something else. And I did not want to be anything.
A body standing inside its own image. A shifting figure where flesh and image fail to coincide. In that gap is an ever-changing body that refuses to stay fixed. It is what it is. It is everything. It is nobody. Nobody was always the problem.
Identity is a capitalistic demand.
This body is not an answer, but a field of possibilities

Fabio Liberti
Koreograf
Italian choreographer Fabio Liberti graduated from Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy in 2004. Since then he has been engaged full time in several dance dance companies in both Holland (Conny Janssen Danst), Germany (Stadttheater Hildesheim), Switzerland (Stadttheater Saint Gallen), Italy (AIEP) and Denmark (Danish Dance Theatre). He has worked as a dancer and simultaneously as a choreographer, creating several award-winning pieces.
In 2020 he founded his independent company MUOVI based in Denmark to produce his own work.
“I’m working towards mixing different communicative elements to develop a language to discuss subjects connected to everyday life in this particular social time.
Always using movement as primary communicative tool, I often combine it with text, theatricality, music and visual elements to create an
abstract narrative world. ”
