What happens when our rhythmic bodies stop moving to music? Where do we find our metronome in life to make our habits our imaginative language? This piece explores how our creative minds build a unique playground based on our usual life patterns.
Malmö Dance Week and Iver are the initiators behind the project where three dancers under the direction of choreographer Clara Bajado create a performance with a premiere during Malmö Dance Week.
Clara is a pioneer in both the House Dance community and on the hip hop scene. She has been a teacher and mentor to many established dancers on stage today and has more than 20 years of experience as an artist, event producer and choreographer.
She was born, raised and educated in Paris with a Filipino heritage. After several years of traveling, Clara settled in London in the early 2000s where she created Indahouse to promote House culture, both dance and music.
Clara is concerned that the dancers’ own and individual style may make its mark on both the creation as well as the performance.
Malmö Dance Week X Clara Bajado is a collaboration with Dansstationen
