“All that you touch You Change. All that you Change Changes you. The only lasting truth Is Change.” ― Octavia E. Butler, Parable of the Sower
Make Hay While the Sun Shines is a series of dances which maps the dancing movements of our histories. The dance performance engages in time specific and partial views, the uncategorized details that pre-exists the whole, and the chaos called reality. Stemming from a movement practice based on disharmonious change, a dance which might be more like life itself is created: irregular, fascinating, unsuccessful, stumbling, loving and pretty unpredictable. This performance of Make Hay While the Sun Shines is a new dance in the series, with an extended cast of eight dancers and music by KABLAM. Make Hay While the Sun Shines also exists in the format of a short film and a publication. With the dance and the conversations (the written and the spoken) we want to welcome all our histories into the room.
